Kind of surprised I haven’t uploaded this yet. The riff is heavy and awesome and yesss. Lots of good about this band, but also things I don’t like, but this song is one of my favorites by them.
for the music lover and writer in me. lyrics, verses, and everything else i feel or see that inspires me. and i hope you like the music i post :)
note: i may go days without posting anything, i may post something every day. it goes in phases, but i'll keep this blog going for a long time because i'll always love music!
Does anybody know this?? This album is SO GOOD. Like, SO GOOD. So much variety, so many styles and genres, all of it quality quality quality. This song is smooth, catchy, clever, groovy, fun…
And as time goes by
You start to entangle yourselves
It feels safe to settle for the cards you were dealt
The living braid of two hearts in the shade of youth
Why would you ever untether this parachute?
Just…really, really wonderful.
Sat on a floor in a grey grey mood
Where I stay up all night
And all that I write is a grey grey tune
So pray for me child, just for a while
That I might break out yeah
Pray for me child
Even a smile would do for now
‘Cause I’m all alone again
Crawling back home again
Stuck by the phone again
The wolf he howls, the lion does roar, the wolf lets him in
The lion runs in through the door, the real fun begins
As they both rush upon you and rip open your flesh
The lion eats his fill and then the wolf cleans up the mess
I looooove this songgggg
But if you left it up to me, every day would be a holiday from real
We’d waste our weeks beneath the sun
We’d fry our brains and say it’s so much fun out here
But when it’s all over I’ll come back for another year
Everyone knows “Somewhere Only We Know” (another song where I can say “I knew it before it got popular!!!), which is awesome, but this song is just…gorgeous.
Many’s the time I ran with you down the rainy roads of our old town
Many the lives we lived in each day and buried altogether
Don’t laugh at me
Don’t look away
You’ll follow me back with the sun in your eyes, and on your own
Bedshaped, and legs of stone
You’ll knock on my door and up we’ll go, in white light
I don’t think so
But what do I know?
